Does anyone know how to control this feature? In XP if you have the AC adapter plugged in, your display would go to max brightness. Take the adapter out and the display would dim down to a lower, battery conserving level.
This doesn’t seem to happen for me in Win 7.
Is there a setting somewhere to change this behaviour?
EDIT: Found this image:
However those options are not available to me!?
The Samsung Battery Manager is proprietary software designed to work with the Windows XP environment.
Samsung does not support either Vista nor Windows 7 on the NC10, so really your only choice is to try and install the XP version of the Battery Manager.
Once you have downloaded the Zip file, open the folder and select ‘Extract All’.
Right click on the ‘Setup’ and select Properties.
Select the ‘Compatibility’ tab and tick ‘Run this program in compatibility mode for:’ Windows XP (Service Pack 2).
Under ‘Privilege Level’ check ‘Run this program as an administrator’.
This should give you the greatest chance of running an XP program under Vista or 7.
