I know after reading the title some, if not all, people will think “yeah, good luck with that, it’s never gonna play”, but honestly, what would happen if you try install the game on your NC10 and try play it?
I have the game and play it on my desktop with everything on high/ultra high at 1920×1080 and it plays great. Albeit, my desktop has a Sapphire Radeon HD 3650, but what if the resolution was lowered considerably, effects and features were all turned down to low and no AA was selected, how well could the game play then on the NC10? I might try install it to find out, but I was wondering whether anyone else has already done so or read online of someone who has.

I was never interested in the missions but loved the “skirmish” mode. Used to play with my mate on a serial cable. I guess these days it can be done over WiFi!

Tiberium Wars was my favourite, until Red Alert 3, but I played Red Alert 2 over the net with friends religiously for a good many months, so I have fond memories of that game too.
There is also nothing better than skirmish mode, in my opinion, and it beats campaign hands down.
The game has moved on in Red Alert 3 somewhat, as there are different tactics needed to win e.g. you can’t build a couple of refineries and then buy loads of harvesters/ore miners to gather as much Tiberium/ore as possible, but tank rushes will still work.
The only thing I don’t like about the game is that you can’t turn off ‘Super Weapons’, or as they’re called in Red Alert 3 ‘Ultimate Weapons’, in skirmish mode, so it’s a case of either building up an army quick enough to destroy your enemies Ultimate Weapon and/or building your own Ultimate Weapon to take out the enemies army or base.
I’m a tad reluctant to install the game myself as I’m on a quest for the Holy Grail; a faster boot time 😛

Thanks for the tip. It’s crazy to think that someone other than me wanted to play a brand new game on an extremely non-gaming computer like the NC10. -
