All Circuit City stores closing in the US. Stores in Canada will remain open. CC does not stock the NC10, but does have a few other netbooks like the Lenovo. I stopped on Saturday – all electronics are 10% off list price, which is not that big a deal. However, sales will increase over the next few weeks with the stores closing in March.
“The liquidations sales will begin Saturday at the remaining Circuit City stores. Customers hoping for immediate extreme bargains may be a little disappointed. The sales will run until the end of March and will probably start slow and accelerate as the deadline looms. The process for the liquidation sale requires weekly reconciliations with the companies acting as Agents. This information, tallied every Thursday, will likely be used to set incremental discount rates as needed.â€

Worrying – one of the biggest retailers in the states of electronics. Makes me worried about my job security working in the same field here in UK. Hard times!
I Predicted this would happen as soon as the after Xmas sales finished… they were trying to get a few extra bucks in their pockets from holiday sales… Crap Store anyway. a couple years ago they laid off all employees that were making 50 cents more an hour than the average employee… then offered all those employees their jobs back at the new lower wages… talk about bad management and poor business practices
