Good find zumtotal. Very interesting to note that Samsung is the manufacturer.

I’m not aware of any other alternatives at the moment but i’m sure it won’t be long until there is a “generic” cheaper alternative.
it’s probably a good investment to buy that particular one if you need a car charger.
the only real alternative just now would be to buy a small cig lighter mains inverter and plug the standard wall psu into it.
How about something like this?
It’s considerably cheaper and also powers USB devices.

There’s a much cheaper alternative 12V charger, probably…. I need to investigate more, but watch this space. Should be about £12.99.

I wouldnt reccomend the last option, because those inverters have a unrouned sinus curve, which means the laptop charger gets hot more and it could damage your charger and battery.
