I am hoping someone has seen this issue.
My NC110 seems determined not to boot from USB. In the BIOS the boot sequence has all the USB types and all other boot sources are now disabled. Ive tried booting from each USB port. Ive tried pressing each of the following continuously through a switch-on:
– ESC leads to “Operating System Not Found” message
– F2 lead to BIOS
– F4leads to Boot Menu flashes quickly the “Operating System Not Found” message
The USB is a loaded with a JoliCloud ISO and boots OK on another laptop – an old Dell.
I would be grateful is anyone had ideas for what might be wrong and how it might be solved.
PS The built in keyboard has some keys not working so a USB keyboard is attached to the NC110.
Many Thanks in Advance
evarnell – Have you got Fast Boot enabled?
If so disable it in advanced bios.
Hope this helps
Do you think that some-one – some where, is hinting NOT to use JoliOS??
Joking, of course – see my Signature below and my Tag Sammyone on the Joli’cloud’ Help Forums.
Yes – Jeepers is absolutely correct, you need to stop the FASTBOOT i BIOS (F2 for setup) – it bypasses the USB STICK during boot up
