Since I bought my Sammy a few months ago I get a BSOD roughly once a week.
Unfortunately it flashes up too quickly for me to read it and despite having memory dumping enabled in the Startup and Recovery panel, it does not create a .dmp file for some reason.
I’ve no idea where to start on this really. 🙁
Have you tried disabling automatic restart in the startup and recovery panel?
Good idea I have done this.
And a message just popped up whilst I was doing this explaining why its not recording dumps, apparently the alerter service must be running and is not installed.
I must have left it out when I nLite’d my XP!
Thanks for the help =)
best place to start, go back to a non nLite’d xp and see if it still happens…
