I’m just being dim i’m sure but how do i remove the ‘my bluetooth places’ icon from the desktop? i can’t seem to bin it.
Easiest way is to do a search for Bluetooth, then delete the one that shows up in the Startup Items for your profile.
bumping this back up for some help
i have deleted everything that says ‘my bluetooth places’ and still the icon remains on my desktop
what can i be doing wrong/
any help much appreciated
This may not be the proper way to remove it, but it worked for me:
Right-click on the desktop. In the “Arrange Icons By” submenu, there should be the option “Run Desktop Cleanup Wizard” – click it.
The wizard will show you all icons on your desktop. Make sure the My Bluetooth Places icon is ticked and click Next, then Finish.
Your bluetooth icon will now be in a folder on your desktop called “Unused Desktop Shortcuts”. Delete the folder and the bluetooth icon will go with it.
Hope this helps. 🙂
your a star it worked a treat
