Just wondering if there’s a lot of bloatware preinstalled on the NC10 and whether or not it’s easily removed.
The laptop I last had (Acer aspire 8920) was full of the stuff.
Nope! The only crapware installed on mine was McAfee AntiVirus, which I quickly removed and replaced with Avast free antivirus. Other than that, it has Samsung utilities installed which help better manage the battery and allows for the controls on the function keys to work properly. So overall no adware stuff installed other than the McAfee trial.
Make sure you read the sticky about removing McAfee
No need to remove anything really except McAfee but that’s a personal choice.
McAfee blows and it’ll be the first thing I do upon booting up. I’ll install NOD32 in its place. I’m surprised there isn’t any other garbage on by default, every other pre-built computer I’ve used has a lot of useless stuff. One of the reason I build my own 🙂
Thanks guys. I’ll cheak out the thread on removing Mcafee. Personally prefer to use Kasperspy. It’s on my desktop PC and behaves fairly well. 🙂
