I’ ve upgraded from 02CA to 03CA BIOS. I did everything by the book (eg. F2-F9-F10 to save the update and stabilise the system). Everything seems to be working fine. My concern though, is that after I logon (OS WIN XP SP3) a get a black screen briefly, for a second or less. Is that potentially dangerous? How can I fix that?
Do you get this ‘stutter’ every time you boot or did it only happen on the first boot after the BIOS update?
You may want to check out this thread where there is a lot of discussion about XP stuttering at start up.
By the way, did you realise the most recent BIOS is 04CA?
I get the stutter everytime I boot.
I know that 04CA is the latest version, but I’ d rather wait until I am sure it’s working fine.
