I just noticed that this is available from Samsung’s UK site. Is anyone running this version yet?
Thanks
I have just downloaed it and will try it later as am on battery power at the mo. Hopefully it will sort out the 256MB for graphics if you have 2GB of RAM issue:)
Downloaded and installed, can’t see any difference at all??
Did you check the installation as the first time i did it only the Micom was flashed? I was left with the03CA bios.
I ran the installation again and it worked – gulp:)))))
Hmm i’ve been to the NC10 download page and it’s saying ” Sorry… No download contents for NC10″

I wondered whether or not the bios upgrade would re-allocate some of the 2GB of RAM to the graphics (upping the 128mb to 256mb.
Cheers
Don’t know if it new but there is a seting in the BIOS for fan speed. You can set it to LOW or AUTO.
Low is on low quiet speed all the time or AUTO where its off and comes on when temperature is reached.
navanman, that speed setting seems interesting. I’ve never heard of that before.
Can anyone state whether the fan comes on less frequently now (like when opening a program) ?
Well it doesn’t up the graphics from 128mb to 256mb in windows xp.
It has 256 MB graphics under Vista, but not XP.

Yup, that’s what I found:((
I wish Samsung would explain what changes they make when the release bios updates..

Even so, Vista actually has less performance on 3d apps and games.

If you install the latest GMA950 drivers, that performance is supposed to go up over the default driver install. That is what other people on the forum had said.
