I just got an NC10 and installed Xp PRO then installed Samsung battery manager and it says that there is no battery but the battery works because the computer turns on with just the battery. Then i tried BatteryBar and i got an error when i ran it and it also says no battery. Can anyone help me.
Have you tried booting without the battery in? Try removing the battery, leaving the laptop 10 minutes to completely discharge (ensure no longer connected to mains). Boot the system using the power cable only and let windows start normally. once battery manager has started, shut down the netbook. Remove the power cable and reattach the battery. Boot off the battery and see if this makes any difference.
I just tried that and it still says that there is no battery. Thanks for your help.
EDIT: FIXED IT by reinstalling a different copy of WinXP PRO
