Hi great forum, I just got my Sammy recently ( love it ), i think that i made a mistake. after charging full, i used the sammy for most of the day with the mains plugged in, i saw later that this could shorten battery life. i dont seem to be getting long battery life. ( mind you i have been doing a lot of file transfers), but could i have shortend the battery life ?
you can download several apps to actually check it… Lithium Ion batteries don’t have memory, I am sure it is fine… Battstat is good. download here

under batteries it will show the wear amount.
also u can run battery calibration from the BIOS menu.
Last be more specific about how long your battery is lasting and what battery manager and scree brightness you are using…
Finally upgrade the BIOS to .04CA from Samsung home page… you can use the amazing search function to find more information on all these topics too. They have been well covered here
Do not worry about the battery wear too much. ALL batteries will wear eventually and there is little that can really be done to stop it happening although there are some useful tips here for prolonging the life of your battery. See this thread for more information on battery wear. Apart from that, the NC10 has an excellent battery life in my opinion and I seriously doubt using it on AC power all day has has any effect on the overall performance of the battery.
thank you for your replies, great relief and help. I shall check out the mentioned guides.
