I was looking at the CaseLogic PLS-9 one, but had a few concerns. It seems by the model number that it’s designed for 9″, and the specs on the website says “Form fitting neoprene material stretches to accommodate 7-10″ ultra-portable PCs (see internal dimensions below)”. The dimensions should fit, but I don’t to house my NC10 in a sausage casing either. Plus, the pocket looks minimal.I’d like to hear some actual review from people that have either, or better similar ones.

ParticipantI got an Init DVD case from Best Buy last night. I thought it was perfect. Just the right size–neoprene, carry handles, nice shoulder strap, two velcro pockets (front and back). Only problem–it’s 0.25″ too short. The NC10 fits in width and depth, just not height. No mind you, it CAN fit. But when your zipping the corners up, if you don’t pull away the laptop slightly, good chance of scratching the corner. Plus, it’s very tight in the case. I’m going to be taking it back. But if want something that tight, I can recommend it–it’s actually rated for 10.4″ DVD players.
10″ Slip caseThey had two other 10.4″ rated cases (and some rated for 10″):
Sport Slipcase–this one would fit and is nice. It has no pockets and the top corners would stick out a little as it just has a flap enclosure (which eliminated it for me).
Car Sport Case — again it should fit in this one since it has a flap enclosure, but the flap is bigger so it won’t let them stick out. this also has 1 (maybe 2) zip pockets and even little slots for DVDs. It also has a little platform that comes with it to attached to a car headrest so you can use a DVD player in the car while not holding it.Here is the rest of the line: Best Buy Init DVD Cases

http://forum.eeeuser.com/viewtopic.php?id=750 (a lot are for the 7″)Timbuk2 makes an awesome case for Dell for the Mini 9. They don’t have any current plans to release any bigger models for us 10″ folks. Someone stuck a MSI Wind in there and said it fit, but it was tight.

MemberSo because I just wanted a sleeve and not a case (I carry a shoulder bag by Tumi it can go into) and I am a sucker for great materials, I ordered the Alcantara sleeve from the wrappers site in UK. Not cheap, but hopefully I will like it.
The irony is that I havent even had a chance to open and unbox my new NC10 since I was traveling for business and it was shipped to my office!

MemberI received my Zeroshock III 11″ and external DVD drive case the other day and I must say they are both great products. I use a backpack all the time, so I can easily just slip my NC10 into the case and then put it in my backpack without worrying about it.
The memory foam is also a great feature, but I noticed it takes a lot longer to revert back into its original position once pressed. Not a big deal at all, just funny that it doesn’t revert as fast as the demo video I saw online.

MemberI just ordered this one. It was a bit expensive, but I think these Golla bags look nicer than most of the laptop cases, and it’s a Finnish brand, so I bought the thing anyway.
The only(?) problem is that the bag is actually designed for 13″ laptops, so it might be too big for my NC10. Well, if it doesn’t seem to work with my new toy, I’ll just return it (the bag, not Sammy :D).

[/quote1228675618]That’s a good one. Saw it when I bought the Tech Air – its roomy but not massive, so you should get the NC10 in and have room for other essentials. Golla’s cases and bags are good quality, in my experience.

Member^ Oh, nice to hear. I have been trying to find this 13″ bag in the stores to see what it looks like in the inside and to estimate the size better, but I’ve only managed to find Golla sleeves and 15,4″ bags.
My boyfriend has one of those for his 15″ laptop, so I know they are of good quality and at least the bigger size bags are pretty well padded.

MemberFYI, I took a look at some of the sleeves available at Micro Center, and i was left with the impression that most of these provide as much protection as an oversized mitten. I looked at some of the DVD plaer cases as well, but most were too bulky for what I want. This case logic HD/UMPC case looks good, but I am going to try to find it in a store to see how bulky it is.

[/quote1228763522]Hmmm… it says the internal dimensions are 9″x6.5″x2.25 – the NC10 isn’t going to fit.

Whoops, misread … yah that will be too small. I’m not very happy with my sleeve, but oh well – it works. I just can’t carry around my external drive if I need to.December 8, 2008 at 9:29 pm #169448Jay
MemberI’ve not fully decided yet, but I think I’m just going to go with something like this:
It’s anti-shock, black and simple, cheap, etc. It’s spot on, I think.
I’ll put the NC 10 inside the case that it comes with, then into the anti-shock case above and carry it around in a cool satchel type bag that I got from River Island a year or so ago. It doesn’t look like a “laptop” bag at all, which is really good, because I don’t want people knowing what I’ve got in there. And it looks pretty cool and fashionable, so it doesn’t look out of place like some “laptop” bags do.

MemberI got the laptop bag mentioned above from eBay. For £6 you can’t go wrong. Nice fit and 2 side pockets on the front.
[MOD EDIT] Fixed pic size. adatay92
