[/quote1232839854]I love mine, gonna start taking it to lectures. I like how you can remove the padded pounch that holds the laptop completely out of the bag itself. The orange stripe in the shoulder strap is a nice touch. Certainly stylish enough to pass off as a normal messenger bag.
January 26, 2009 at 10:32 pm #169395kinkbmxcoMemberI received my Zeroshock III Case today in the mail. I purchased it on Ebay on Friday night and it arrived today around 12:30, VERY Fast. I am very happy with the quality and fit of the case. Here are some pictures I uploaded to flickr…

By the way it is an 8.9″ Case.January 27, 2009 at 7:40 am #169555quizMemberI just managed to pick up a white NC10 the other day and, so of course, laptop protection was somewhat of an issue. Fortunately for me, my old laptop possessed dimensions that are strikingly similar to my new NC10. My old laptop was the Sony TR2A and I was able to import (from japan) a really great case.
The case is a SONY PCGA-CK5T and there’s a nice product review over on siliconpopculture http://www.siliconpopculture.com/articles/review/sony_pcga_ck5t/
This case is perfect for me because I already have other messenger type bags and backpacks, so I tend to only need a sleeve. Another thing I will say is that the build quality is terrific. Again, check out the link and I think some of you will really like this case.January 28, 2009 at 11:23 am #169553mcapriMemberI’ll receive my Sammy today and I’d like to protect it ASAP. The Zeroshock III seems the right way to go but in which size? I see that in this post there are users happy with both 10.6″ and 8.9″ . kinkbmxco in the pics that you posted Sammy seems to be a bit squeezed – is just my impression or is it the case? Drom how does your 10.6″ looks in comparison with the 8.9″‘s pictures ?

When I was debating which size Zeroshock to get, I shared the same thoughts you did. After examining some pictures of the NC10 in an 8.9″ and the 10.6″ I felt that the 8.9″ would probably be a better fit. The 10.6″ looked like it had too much extra space around the sides of the NC10. In terms of length and width the 8.9″ is perfect. The nc10 literally just slides in, no need to force it, it fits perfectly and very snug. I was slightly worried after I ordered it, because like you said it looks squeezed. I didn’t want to have to manipulate the sleeve around the sides of the NC10 in order for it to fit. Thankfully that is NOT the case. In terms of depth, which was another concern of mine, it fits fairly well too. In my pictures you will notice you can see where the battery pack sits. Again, I didn’t want have to struggle and manipulate the sleeve in order to get it to zip up. Although there is a slight bulge where the battery pack is, I think the pictures exaggerate it and after using it for the little time I have had it, zipping it up is no problem either. If you look at the numbers which I got from ebay the Depth on the 8.9 and 11 inch are the same and it says the 10.6″ is smaller! Just looking at the numbers, the 10.6″ doesn’t seem like it would have much difference than the 8.9″ at all, but the pictures I looked at seemed to tell me a different story.
From Ebay (the same seller I purchased it from)
8.9″ – W10.8 x D1.6 x H7.9 inch
10.6″ – W10.7 x D1.5 x H8.0 inch
11.1″ -W10.8 x D1.6 x H8.5 inch
To reiterate I think the 8.9″ fits perfectly and the slight bulge created by the battery is exaggerated in the pictures. I have no problems sliding it in (Easily) and zipping it up. I highly recommend this size and case. Additionally, if you buy through ebay (From the seller from Texas) you have a couple days to return it if you don’t like the fit, granted, you will have to pay shipping expenses, but I reckon if you order an 8.9″ you will not be disappointed. I hope this helps, if you want I can try to take additional pictures from different angles or with the battery out if that helps you make your decision!January 29, 2009 at 11:27 am #169554mcapriMemberThanks kinkbmxco for the comprehensive reply.
I’ve ordered the 8.9″ 🙂 orange …
January 31, 2009 at 8:22 pm #169320XyroxMemberSo, has anyone tried the smaller 8″/9″ neoprene slipcase from DealExtreme? I would be interested to hear how it fits the NC10.
February 1, 2009 at 11:10 am #169543Billy RubinMemberI came across this website today, might be of interest to UK readers.
I haven’t bought from them so can’t comment on their reliability.

I ended up going with a medium sized one, Cost me $80 including shipping(Normally retail for 110).
Let me just get to the point, If you are in college, need something to carry your sammy, notebook or two and a book, THIS IS THE BEST OPTION! I have the sammy, my notebook, a thick college book in it as well as my water bottle and there is still plenty of room, could even fit two books in it and be comfortable.
There are plenty of pockets for pencils, pens, highlighters, power charger and a mouse and fit pretty well in it. Even though the laptop pocket portion can fit up to a 15″ laptop, the fabric inside of it doesn’t allow lil sammy to slide around. It is even padded so having a ton of stuff in the messenger bag wont put a whole lot of pressure on sammy. Even with all the stuff I have in it, its very comfortable to carry. Almost the entire bag is waterproof, so if its raining out, you don’t have much to worry about.
Out of all the stuff I have bought lately, the sammy and my timbuk2 bag are the two I am the most satisfied with.
And heres some pictures
