Hi guys! Finally took hold of my black NC10 yesterday from Amazon – it’s as good as seemed and in the past 24 hours have had great fun with it.
One of the reasons that I bought it was to be able to use the external VGA to plug into my 37″ Samsung LCD. So yesterday I connected the two up, selected the PC input on my TV, and saw my desktop! Now, I want it to be in Clone Mode, so that the desktop on my NC10 is shown on the TV (ie not extending my desktop onto the LCD). The only problem was that the aspect ratio was all wrong on the TV. The 1024 x 600 seemed squashed.
I tried the settings on the TV to see if that would remedy it, but they all still showed it as squashed, albeit in 16:9, 4:3 or whatever I selected. I did notice a selection box in the Intel settings where you could set the aspect ratio of the external monitor, but when I clicked into this, nothing was available to select!
Can anyone shed any light on how I can output to the TV in the correct aspect ratio? Hopefully that all makes sense! Saying that, the picture on the TV screen was crystal clear, which I was impressed by. Thanks for your help – if you have any questions just let me know!

I’ll give it a whirl later – thanks for the response!
