I don’t know if its big enough for me to try to talk to samsung about warrenty issues, or if there’s a relative easy fix, but…
my arrow keys, especially my left key, are not so hot. The left key is mushy and creaky, sticks down and rises back slowly.. up and down are fine, the other three are creaky.. the right key creaks if you just rest a finger on it.
Anyone else having problems with this area of the keyboard?

January 25, 2009 at 5:39 pm #180995osaruMemberSorry to kind of hijack your thread, but I am also having keyboard issues… my upper right hand corner, specifically the delete key, appears to have come ‘loose’ compared to the rest of the keyboard.
I do a lot of coding (and correcting my mistakes ;)) on the sammy… and only noticed after a while that it felt more ‘clicky’ and was noisier than any other key, it feels a little like the keyboard is raised up in that corner, as if it were sticky tape peeling at the end… When I depress the key fully and apply extra pressure, it kind of sticks back to normal for a few minutes or so… thinking about taking it to a repair centre for a new kb as my nearest one is next door to the office, but am loathe to if I could simply tighten a screw / apply some adhesive…
I’ll keep you posted if I decide to take it to the shop.
p.s. just noticed that my right arrow key is also louder than the others, making a distinctly clicky noise instead of the smooth pshhh noise of the other keys.

I guess the sticky tape holding your keyboard in place has come loose… no really.
There are 3 screws which hold the keyboard in place additionally the keyboard clips in place at the bottom. As the screws are not located that close to the edge, the keyboard is also held in place with double sided sticky tape/pads.
The problem is that the pads are not that sticky, and worse if you decide to take the back off removing the KBD screws will push the keyboard outwards possibly helping to weaken the sticky tape/pads.
I have exactly the same problem where the top right part of my keyboard flexes upwards, I’m going to buy some stronger double sided tape sometime and fix it. On mine it’s made worse as one of the screws holding the keyboard broke off inside.
EDIT: As everyone loves photos here’s a picture of the underside of the keyboard. You can see the 4 sticky pads attached to the back of the keyboard.
