Anyone tried Windows 10 on an NC10 or similar old netbook? Any good? Any driver problems, etc, etc. Anything special to set in BIOS? Do you get the Win 10 update icon from Windows Update?
I wonder if there is any realistic chance of getting it running? Anyone know any reason why Windows 10 couldn’t run on an old Samsung netbook? I guess finding drivers could be a problem or will Microsoft’s standard drivers work OK?
I haven’t switched my NC10 on for a while now, it’s still on XP. Unfortunately I don’t have the time to try but would love to know if anyone makes any progress!
Just to let you know I installed Win10 on my NC10 earlier today and I’ve just posted my findings here
Hi everybody, yesterday I installed windows 10 on my nc10 from the official site
http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10ISO
Everything seems to work except of camera (which I don’t use) and wifi, there seems to be permanent
block on the virtual wifi switch but in device manager it says it has wireless drivers. If anyone ever try to play with
this system and figure this out please post here. As for performance I think it is a lot faster than windows 7, although I use upgraded 2 GB RAM not the default 1 GB. Also no Cortana because I chose my native language version 🙁 (but it would probably not work because no wifi).
As for interface I’m pleasantly surprised, it feels like crossover between windows xp, windows 7 and android, but in a good way, just check it out and you will see.
Hi everybody, I found a fix for the wifi problem, you have to set wifi to always enabled in the BIOS settings, and voila.
