MemberI can test this if nobody else has – I will get my NC10 tomorrow or Wednesday.
I would think it would run pretty much the same as on the Wind.

MemberYeah was thinking that, would be nice to have a laptop that would run it,other than using my pc all the time!
ThanksNovember 26, 2008 at 3:38 pm #171155ploppo
MemberI am running it now on minimum settings and it runs fast and smooth.
I put it to medium settings it is still fast and smooth.
High settings seem fine.
Proceeded to just put it at max and it twitches a bit
However, this is all just walking about. Will need to wait until the first fire-fight to see if there is scope to push the settings up beyond minimum.

MemberMy COD1 has been delivered by postie this morning. I really would like to play it without having to cart my external CD-ROM drive around with me so……..
Does it require the CD in still once it’s been installed in order to run?
If so, can I create a virtual drive using the orignal disc (plenty of software out there for doing that so I wont break forum rules and name any) and install from that and then play the game without the CD?
TIA

MemberSorry Mod, I genuinely didn’t think I was doing anything wrong since I’ve just paid for the item off Amazon, so not like I’ve acquired it on an illegal basis.
🙁

MemberThat’s why I mentioned the above (deleted) comment as he clearly has the original game
I wouldn’t have mentioned it if he didn’t own the game as I don’t condone piracy

MemberNo worries guys, I know people will always move games from one media to another and I don’t think anyone is going to get into big trouble for that. However I have to keep this forum squeaky clean so I just ask people not to talk about how to cicumnavigate copy protection.
There is plenty of info out there – thanks for understanding :).
So anyway, lets move on, what is COD1 like? I have been enjoying COD5 (via Steam) recently and enjoyed playing it through.

MemberWill have to play it with the CD in then, but can anyone tell me if they had any success getting this to work with a joystick/gamepad please (I’ve tried google but haven’t managed to find anything).
TIA
