MemberWelcome to the site repiv and well spotted!
The standard battery is 5200mAH so yes theoretically a battery quoted at 7800mAH should be a +50% improvement.
The downside though it is going to pertrude from the bottom of the NC10 quite some way and put the keyboard on a bit of an angle!

MemberIts unfortunate that nobody is importing these in bulk – £67.40 + VAT is a bit painful for a battery 🙁

Memberwould like to see one on a NC10.

MemberWell after shelling out £322 quid for my sammy, l for one am quite happy with this initial investment as the battery life is 7-8hrs, have run a quick check and can prob get 5+ hrs while watching a film, plenty of battery life with standard 6 cell.
Why pay more just to extend on this, but hey, each to thier own 🙂
And yes now that they are producing 3rd party 9 cell would be interested in batt life extension, AND life of battery.

MemberIf I were flying to Asia or Europe I would consider one. And if I were on Virgin Airlines with their WiFi availability etc.

MemberYeah I see no point in putting a battery that runs for 6+ hours to one side to rot. Yet! Ask me when this one only keeps me going for 3 hours!

MemberSeller gpsforless-uk is now selling these directly in the UK. Same price as before (~£70 inc shipping) but you can avoid the exorbitant import taxes 🙂

MemberI asked the guy selling it to take a picture comparing the 6 cell to 9 cell battery.

MemberHoly cow! that’s huge!
By the way you can resize your images by using this:/b]img Style=width:350px]url link here[/img[b
So they are smaller and don’t appear massive.

Member9 cell will be a bit heavy. Maybe better to get a second 6 cell pack to swap if needed.
But more useful than any of these would be a unit the same size/shape as the battery pack that houses a mains wire and trnasformer. The idea then is to take your netbook out without batteries weighing you down, but able to pull out/unravel a mains lead from the back of the netbook.
Yes, you can always take the netbook out without a battery and carry the mains cable separately, but it would be nice to have it as a replacement battery size unit. -
