3G HSDPA

Hey,

On the news page there is mentioned of 3G HSDPA support on the nc 10 sold in Poland.

By now only the telecom operator sells this model.

What do you guys think will the nc 10 with hsdpa find his way to retailers?

I’m still waiting for the nc 10 with hsdpa.

As an internal 3G modem will need a sim card to work, most similar solutions with other netbook manufacturers require a mobile contract to take advantage of 3G. I don’t think the NC10 will be released with internal 3G without such a contract, so we may have to add our own manually.

With current supply issues it could be a bit of a wait. But there is no doubt better, cheaper, lighter, etc netbooks will be on the way from Samsung sooner or later.

Yeah Jez, it is only the timeframe that gives me concerns wether to buy the nc 10 now yes or no.

Though i can wait 2 more months but than the paitence is gone! 🙂

True, I have an NC10/HSDPA, Polish telecom operator PLUS. Works great! Demand was so big that practically all computers were sold on the first day Nov 26th! Tried upload speed on Speedtest (HSDPA), showed 2,5 M in Warsaw (suburbs). Very happy about the machine!

I was in PC world just today and noticed that the with the price increase of the NC10, it brings it into the same price range of the Advent 4213 which is 3G enabled without contract. I know that if this price similarity had been around 3 weeks ago I’d have bought the Advent, mind I’m glad I didn’t 🙂

lol well you have more patience than I! I’d been waiting all year for a decent netbook :)! Internal 3G would be nice though :(. I still use the machine loads without it and its great at home and in the garden with the WiFi net connection.

i wnet and hassled my pal in the 3 shop today to find out what the deal is with them not doing mini pci-e solutions. he said he had no idea but imagined that there was little to no demand and usb works fine anyway…

i disagreed.
