MemberWhy is every body so happy with two fingers scrolling. Really, i think it just sux. I like the trackpad how its is now. Scroll with the right side to go up and down and with the bottom to the left and right for left/right scrolling?!

MemberErm, not really sure what to say here.
Obviously if you like it use it, if you don’t then don’t! Surely it’s up to people’s personal taste, personally I hate the trackpad sensitive areas at the edges so the 2 finger scroll is the ideal alternative. Not really sure what the point to your post was lol.

MemberHow do I get the app? When I go to the page it gives a little description of it, but nowhere to download it. I assume if I make a donation it will send me to a page to download it or will it be e-mailed to me? Please help.
Thanks,

MemberHi Sweet-P, click the Downloads blue tab at the top (to the right of Project Home) – the latest version is at the top…

MemberI’ve tried this application a few times when I first got my NC10 but couldn’t figure out how to use it. I installed it again today and was playing around with it (and reading some posts here), and I’ve got it working perfectly! The touchpad was so annoying, and the only thing I didn’t like about the NC10, but now it is a breeze to use. I disabled the scrolling features of the Synaptics driver and I have the two-finger program set on smooth scroll at sensitivity of 2 with acceleration at 1. I also have three finger tap to be a right click (I tried the two finger and one + one, but it would right click when I accidentally placed my fingers down without thinking — I guess this is an individual setting but works fine for me on three finger tap).
Anyway, thanks SO MUCH to the maker of this little program: its wonderful!!

MemberI started using this wonderful program today and live it. Using the suggested settings on the previous page and its made the trackpad usable on my NC10.

MemberIs there an uninstall option if you don’t like it?
December 14, 2008 at 10:13 am #170827jonbad
MemberNo as you dont INstall the program in the first place; you just run it. To “uninstall” (in effect) just don’t run it, and remove it from startup/delete the program.
PS. If you don’t like it, is it due to settings adjustment? I ask as when I first installed it, the scrolling was hyper sensitive and very unuseable, but after a few settings changes later it was fantastic!

MemberThis program is very cool! I am still playing with it, have the speed at 1-2 and no acceleration. I use the 1+1 for right click, and I can see the issues where I can go to do the two finger scroll and hit the right click function, but I can’t seem to do a three finger very well…

[/quote1229467411]Read the first couple of pages of this thread and you’ll find the instructions for disabling the synaptics driver default settings which include “pinch”. It is pinch that is making the zoom happen and so it needs to be disabled.

[/quote1229525694]Well if it works on one it should work on all and it definitely works for most people with an NC10!!
In the 2fingerscroll application settings, try putting speed to one and control to smooth and acceleration off.
MAKE SURE that the thing is LINEAR and not OFF!!!!!!!!Secondly, follow instructions at the beginning of this post to disable any synaptics driver settings that can conflict with the 2fingerscroll application.
If all the above are done and it’s still not working then I’d imagine at a guess you’ve uninstalled the trackpad drivers and it doesn’t work as a mouse let alone a scroll, or you’ve not run the application, or you’ve restarted your computer but not set the program to start with windows etc etc etc….
Try the above first, if it still doesn’t work then type here 🙂
