Are all 10 inch screen netbook actually measured 10.2 inch? The reason I’m asking is I want to buy a screen protector. It seems Asus EEE 1000H’s screen protector is selling for cheaper price that the one customized for Samsung NC10. The one in deal extreme for Asus EEE 1000H has a measurement of 8.66 inch x 5.12 inch which seems to indicate that it might be a little small for Samsung NC10.
I do not think all netbooks are 10.2″, some are 10″ and some 10.1″.
I’d go with the one specifically designed for the NC10
I got mine from PDAir.com
$15 free shipping. Now I just have to order an NC10 for it to go on 🙂
I gets confusing when I look at the specs. Some online stores / reviewers may indicate 10.2 and 10 inch in the same breath when referring to Asus EEE 1000H screen.
I’m somewhat vacillating whether it is worth buying a screen protector. I did before for my ex-Asus 1000H. It was near impossible to put the screen protector without bubbles and it made my matte screen glossy. On the other hand, I hate it when people borrow my netbook and keep touching the screen.
It is a real pain putting them on. I got one for my Zune and ended up getting lint on the sticky side and still haven’t put it on. If you don’t get it right the first time, it’s pretty much a bust.
I agree. That’s the reason that I thought $15 will be a bit steep if you need more than one to get it right. I never understood why the maker insists that these screen protectors are reusable.
Well technically you can take them off and wash them and reapply them, I just haven’t felt like doing it with the zune protector.
I don’t really care about bubbles, I can get them out, but dust under the protector is annoying.
The NC10 comes with a clear screen protector anyway already on the screen (also another one on the case which I took off). Just don’t take it off and save yourself 15$. Mine is still on. Can’t even notice it.
I tried cleaning the screen protector for the Asus EEE and made more bubbles as well as fingerprints. : (
Oh, well might as well keep the existing screen protector on Samsung NC10 as markhedder suggested and buy one later when the price goes down.
I’ve kept my screen protector from the factory on. Saves me $15 as well.
