The card reader drivers are included in one of the packages from the Samsung download site – it might be the chipset one although I’m not certain.
I did a clean install using a USB DVD drive but then installed Recovery Solution and made a back up of the clean install. You can’t write this to the hidden partition so I saved it to my second partition but because I left the hidden partition in place with the initial system back up, I now have two choices in the restore function to restore back to initial Samsung delivered state or my clean XP install.
