I ended up installing Windows XP Pro from a USB memory card reader with an M2 memory card. I set it up using the walkthrough on the EEE guides website, as mentioned in a previous post, and also a similar guide on a different site that had more screenshots. It went without a single hitch, so I recommend it to anybody looking to setup XP Pro instead of settling with plain ol’ Home as installed.
I am writing this post on my NC10 and I must say that I find typing so much easier that I expected. The right shift key is a bit too far away for my liking, but all the other keys are pretty much perfect; all things considered. The keys have a nice tactile feel to them and touch typing is made easier as a result.
All in all, I am much happierer with my netbook now that it’s setup the way I want; I even setup my laptop’s DVD drive as a network drive so I could install a driver off the Samsung disc that I had missed. I’m looking forward to installing all my programs and really getting my money’s worth from the best netbook out there.
