Ok im now typing this on me nc10 running windows 7. so how did the install go? quite easily with only one issue.
Install
install started at 8.45 and was on desktop by 9.12 (taking pics as well lol) there are a few changes from vista install including your wirelss network is setup before the instal finishes and you are connected immediately. you have to setup a “homegroup” this is the home network like workgroup for vista or home for xp, it then gives you a password which will be used by all pcs on your group
Straight out of the box, your screen res is corrected during install, wirless connected, bluetooth working, infact everything was good to go except lan.
all samsung programs run fine (after uac is turned off).
While it looks like vista it is a lot glossier yet in an understated way, a step closer to the mac osx for sure, little touches that dont glaree out but impress never the less.
Mind you control panel now has 64 entries as default, a lot of playing around required lol.
So how are resources well you have to bear in mind this is far from finished (about 1yr) but still its looking very very good. It runs a little faster than vista but resource usage is about the same.
currently average cpu use it 9 percent idle and 65 percent memory free (2gb)
going to do tghis test again in the morning as windows update found a new driver for the chipset for this prerelease so will see if that increases the base score
