i’ve used win 7 for a couple of days when the pre-beta first got leaked.
it’s pretty good.
i’d describe it as vista but with the performance, functionality and comfort factor of xp.
the footprint is about the same as xp.
as far as i can tell, the only real downside to it is the driver set is a fucking mess. it’s not quite vista and not quite xp so some stuff works with the xp drivers and some stuff works with the vista drivers and some stuff just doesnt work at all.
i tried it on a couple of different systems. the worst off one was actually my own desktop, on which the graphics card didn’t seem to agree with it and the install didnt even complete.
it’s good to know that it runs on these though. i’ll deffo be trying it out.
