Well i’v been on the look out for one for a while,but had to wait to get a ext hard drive to backup my laptop Data and then sell it.
And it went like this
Acer Aspire one>Advent 4211/Asus 1000H>msi wind(160gb)>Samsung nc10
I liked the asus because of the size and the price and read that they were good,i was also thinking it should be able to play old game better than my 5-6 year old laptop,I was really liking it,spotted it in harvey norman like the keyboard etc.But then one day while browsing the net i saw the “8mb video memory” this really killed it for me and then i crossed it off the list
Next the 4211,well all i can say for this is wow!Quiet cheap,up to 224mb vram probably better than my pc,2 hours battery slightly larger but better 10″ screen i was really wanting to get this and i only chose not too when i added abit more to my budget,i was constantly swithing betweeen this and the 1000H
Next the msi wind,this is on ebuyer.com for £330 in black with a 160gb hard drive and a 6 cell battery as i knew the latest bios would up the vram to 224 it was very appealing but the fact it was being posted from the U.k(i’m in ireland)kinda put me off.
Then i spotted the NC10 in black 160gb easy ram upgrade same chipset as other competitors and 6-7 hours battery life i was amazed and then when i saw a review mentioning the great keyboard size it was sold to me,then had to find a retailer,tried elara.ie no good,tired ebuyer no good,then checked dabs.ie in stock so i bought it!in black!Really looking forward to it and i really can’t wait!
The deciding factors:
Battery Life-much better than the advent or acer
Hard drive size-Bigger than all!
The looks-With every pic i see it looks better
Keyboard size-far bigger than the acer,on the same lines as msi,asus
The great screen?-Read its meant to be one of the best so far
The price-Same as the advent but much better
The build quaility-Heard advent hinges move freely this is meant to be better
And the all colour-The advent is silver/black this is black!
