I’m backing up my Vista install right now, so I’ll chime in.
Installed a 2gb stick of RAM and a VLited Vista Home Premium on the NC10 last night. As mentioned before, there is a hidden partition (7gb) that Vista doesn’t pick up on first boot. DBAN took care of that though.
I used the Vista software linked previously for the X340.
Drivers for Bluetooth, Easy Display, Easy Speedup, and PlayCam (which I will never use) all came from Samsung’s X340. Did not install Magic Keyboard, not sure what it would have given me, but it’s not needed for Vista to work right.
I picked up the Marvell and intel drivers off their respective websites, and used the linked Atheros drivers on the first page for the WiFi (although Windows Update found newer ones).
Battery life said 6 hours with WiFi on; I turned it off and it said over seven and a half, but I’ve not had a chance to really test it. I downloaded 35mb in Windows updates, did a system cleanup, and defragged, and had practically no battery drop. But when I plugged in my USB powered optical drive, it cut the battery life in half.
I really wish there was a way to switch off Bluetooth.
