Yeah there is only one accessible slot, so it’s one chip or the other. All the official literature suggests 2gb is the max.
I bought it because it was only £20 – so I thought why not. Although now you have just given two reasons why not! Ooops!
I will be trying out Virtual PC sooner or later and I find more RAM really helps that along. I do a lot of my work within virtual machines so it would be handy to just fire them up when needed.
But yeah, to be honest right now I can’t notice any difference. I’ll see if it makes a difference to hibernation, it seemed very quick before so we’ll see!
