wyckd – You don’t say if you tested the wifi and what results you get with the aerial connected. Does it improve things?

The aerial is contained in the lead at the opposite end to the connector in the shrouded section and requires no soldering.

Just a thought, but you might get better results by placing the aerial in the vertical section to the side of the screen rather than at the bottom of the display but the aerial you have does seem a little on the short side.
