I don’t know what kind of surface you typically use your NC10 on, but because of the placement of the speakers, if you have anything obstructing them the volume will be affected. Before I got my laptable, I used the Sammy on a pillow in bed and the sound was dull and muffled.
Samsung’s bizarre decision to place inferior speakers underneath the unit where they are obstructed by the NC10 itself has made them sound even worse than they are. If they had placed the speakers somewhere around the keyboard or screen or even on the side or front, it would have helped a great deal.
