Further to that, there is also the practicle point of view. For example visual studio may run OK but how is it for actually doing development work? Is it too frustrating to use on a small screen with trackpad?
I now have 3 monitors at work, including a large wide screen in the middle. Dropping back down to the NC10 is actually fine for most every day activities but some stuff is hard to work on when you are used to more lol!
