Start up aom and/or titans in safe mode, no video. You can find it in the start menu folder. Then change the resolution to something that the nc10 can handle, ie I think 800×600. It should run fine (I play it it over lan with my brother).
Which reminds me, if you own games but don’t have an external diskdrive, instead of downloading the game again, make an iso of your disks using something like imgburn and mount them with daemon tools. Then install and mount your disk iso’s when you want to play or download a no cd patch. I guess this is as legal as you can get with using your own cd’s when you don’t own any usb diskdrives.
Also, I would like to ask if Supreme Commander (Forged Alliance) runs at all on the nc10. I’m guessing not, but the nc10 has surprised me many times before on its performance with games.
Which reminds me, here’s the list of games I’ve run well:
-Emulators (Only legit when you own the actual systems and games that you play on it):
+Virtual NES- Fine, as aspected.
+ZSNES/Snes9x- Fine, no issues whatsoever.
+ePSXe- Fine, but needs many tweaks before it runs optimal for a given game. (Chrono Cross completed 100%, besides two problems. One is in regard to cd switch, the other in terra tower. For settings, plug-ins and help with the problems send me a mail at gsm_hotdog@hotmail.com)
-PC Games:
+Age of Mythology- Fine after above fix.
+Red Alert 2 (Yuri’s Revenge, and Mental Omega mod)- Fine, though the mod requires extra fixes before you are able to play.
+Fear Combat- Fine at low-medium graphics. Tweak a bit and see what works for you. Occasional lag, but nothing serious. Lag is mostly based on the maps played on. Some downloadable maps are great with no lag.
+Deus Ex- Works fine, even with hd pack.
+Commandos 3- Works fine, lan works too.
+Starcraft- Works fine.
+Warcraft- Works fine.
+World of Goo- Works fine.
+Homeworld2- Works fine.
+Freeware games that work: Generally, Battle for Wesnoth, Zelda Classic, Littlefighter 2, Super Mario War, Paroxysm, Soldat, I wanna be the guy, Cave Story, Every Extend, Punishment 1 or 2, Balldroppings, N, Notrium, Flywrench, Island Wars.
+Diablo 2- Works fine.
+Fallout 1 or 2- Works fine.
+Audiosurf- Works fine.
Tools that are quite handy for games:
+Hamachi: enable lan play over the internet (useful for Starcraft, Warcraft, Commandos and any other games you want to play over lan with a friend when you either can’t because of a lack of cables or the online part doesn’t work.)
+Imgburn: Make iso’s of your game cd’s.
-Games that don’t work:
+Rise of Nations- Doesn’t support resolution and no way of changing it. If you know how to change it, please let me know.
