As it turns out, I opted for the blue Acer instead. It came in today and it’s a great little device that my son will love. Same size hard disk and equivalent battery as the NC10, just a slightly smaller screen (and smaller case). I saved a little over $100 by going with the Acer, which at this price point is a giant difference. After the first of the year, when there are more NC10’s in the pipeline, I may pick up one for myself to replace an aging Compaq laptop.
