Having owned the black one for the past week or so and starting a “mad” thread relating to modding the lid to be a matte black I’m thinking that I’m annoyed at Samsung for making it a glossy lid. It is apparently a big deal that it’s glossy for most people (I will say I am getting annoyed with some smudged finger prints that are determined not to be wipes off – hence my mod idea) and I think it would have made life and choices so much simpler had it been a matte style lid. Reviews have also mentioned how great the matte finish of the white nc10 is, and a breath of fresh air from the glossy lids of common. It’s annoying to think Samsung went to the bother of making the white one matte and then the equal bother of making the black one glossy!

lol, so anyways, I am reconsidering the white one, although if my mod works then I think I’ll have the worlds only matte topped black NC10 which would be better perhaps than the white one. 😀
My views on the white one are that although not quite as “laptop” professional as I’ve stated in my previous opinionated posts (!) I am starting to think it is really great. These netbooks after all were made for Net use, ie email and internet – so far mine’s certainly been subjected to that rather than programs and for me the white is perfect in that respect. It is still classy and beautiful and knowing mac owners, I am sometimes envious of their gleaming white machines (even though mac’s have all gone silver). I’m really wondering whether I’d have been better off with the white one even though I love the black – somehow it’s just not original whereas the white is!?
