I just got an NC10 and am looking for a case too,go figure?
I would really like to find one that I can use with the computer inside it.
For me being able to have protection while in use as well as on the go is the whole point of this machine.
There used to be several Neoprene cases designed to be “Worn” by the computer at all times. I even have three different sizes already bit of course all are too large for this machine.
Also I have several Tom Bihn and Waterfield cases for different computers and they are both amazing companies to deal with and make fantastic products.
Bihn specs a Brain Cell for the NC10 that is the same as for the 12″ Powerbook and I already had one of those here so I dropped the computer in to see how it fit.
The case is much larger than the computer but certainly provides lots of protection as they feature an adjustable sling inside to suspend the computer off the bottem of the case.
Dropping the case will not really damage the computer as it will just bounce in the sling!
The problem is it takes as much room in my briefcase as it did for the 12″ PB of course but for a much smaller machine.
Waterfield(SFBags.com) has a case sized exactly for the NC10 it seems and this one is a sleeve case only but very, very heavy duty and nice.
I also have one of these for the 12″ Powerbook and it fits the NC10 much better than the Bihn Brain Cell does.
So for now I will just use the Waterfield 12″PB sleeve I already have while my search continues for an “In-Use” case for the NC -10.
As a point of reference what I really want is a “Bump Case” which I have for my Fujitsu and Toughbook machines but they do not seem to make yet for Netbooks.
