Update with good news. I did some research and found other general complaints about the atheros card regarding dropouts and poor connection quality and found a “old” driver that was recommended for this type of problem. The result is that it is working great!!!!
No idea why this one works so much better than that on the machine when I got it or the update from samsung but I am now a happy camper.
If only we had a good two finger scroll 🙁 (ala Macbook)
