yeah the long contracts do put me off, which is why Id not want to pay 15/20 pounds every month. A fiver and I’ll take the gamble!
The other thing about the long contracts is that I think this sector will move quickly and prices/tariffs will improve so I think before anyone signs up they’ll want to be happy that they won’t get annoyed that a new deal comes out at half the price for twice the usage allowance!
The first thing Im actually going to try is the free WiFi connectivity at my local Starbucks, McDonalds or Wetherspoons pub. If that seems workable then maybe I’ll live without true mobile broadband for a bit…!
