Normally we expect mobile phone manufacturers to try and build thesmallest mobile phones that they possibly can, but the crazy technicians at Samsung Mobile have decided to try something a bit more original! Yes, they’ve gone and built the largest working phone ever made.

At a massive 11 foot by 15 foot this replica of the Samsung Messenger phone is fully functional. This includes the slide out keyboard, the 1.3 mega pixel camera, MP3 player and even support for a micro SD card! I wonder how they manage to locate the slot on such a giant phone!

The Samsung Tocco Ultra Edition is the latest in a great range of sliding phone from Samsung. But not only are you able to dial on the slide out keyboard but the Tocco is complete with touchscreen functionality too.

The Tocco is another new device to use Samsung’s AMOLED technology. For those of you that are not familiar with this, these screens provide market leading bright sharp images to mobile devices. This allows for superb play back of saved videos and superior framing capabilities when using the included 8MP camera.

The camera itself is snappy and allows for quick picture taking, Samsung have included some of the innovative features seen on other models such as blink detection. The included software allows you to easily upload your pictures to your favourite photo sharing websites.

Tocco Interface

Those that are familiar with other Samsung products will be familiar with the refined interface that allows easy access to all the expected features. The Tocco ultra edition has a host of widgets accessible with a tap of the screen, including music player, calendar and a range of other options. The haptic feed back is helpful when navigating the menu, it is reassuring to feel the registration of responses. The phone also has a start and end button below the screen and an additional helpful ‘go back’ button to aid navigation and use of the phone.

The Tocco Ultra Edition is a solid release and will appeal to a wide range of buyers. It does not have quite the same edge as the more expensive smart phones that are available but if you are looking for a touch driven phone with a decent camera and a good range of options then this will suit you well.
